Our team provides independent operational risk oversight and advice to Macquarie Capital across technology, cyber security, information security, data and artificial intelligence risks. We work closely with business, technology and risk teams to support effective risk management and informed decision-making across a global environment.

What role will you play?

In this role you will provide independent oversight, challenge and risk advice across technology, cyber security, information security, data and artificial intelligence risks within Macquarie Capital. You will review risk management practices, assess risks and controls, and support business initiatives by providing practical risk input and recommendations. You will also work with stakeholders across the organisation to identify emerging risks, support governance requirements and drive continuous improvement in non-financial risk management.

What you offer

  • Significant experience in technology risk, cyber risk, information security risk, data risk, artificial intelligence risk, operational risk management, internal audit or a related discipline.
  • Strong understanding of operational risk management, including risk identification, assessment, control design, remediation and governance in a complex business environment.
  • Experience providing independent review, oversight, challenge and risk advice across technology, cyber security, information security, data, artificial intelligence or broader non-financial risk areas.
  • Proven ability to assess material risks, evaluate control effectiveness, recommend risk mitigation strategies and influence outcomes across a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and stakeholder management skills, with experience engaging senior management, auditors, regulators and global stakeholder groups.

Our Risk Management Group works as an independent, and centralised function, responsible for independent and objective review and challenge, oversight, monitoring and reporting in relation to Macquarie’s material risks. We are a global team that aims to manage the risks of today and anticipate the risks of tomorrow. Our divisions include compliance, credit, financial crime risk, market risk, operational risk, aggregate risk and prudential, and central.
