As a Senior Manager supporting our Balance Sheet and Statistical Regulatory Reporting function, you will act as a SME, providing clear and pragmatic advice on interpretation of regulatory reporting and operational risk requirements. Leveraging your knowledge of APRA, RBA, and ABS requirements, you will translate complex regulations into practical business guidance, ensuring robust governance and effective risk management across our function.

What role will you play?

In this role you will focus on interpreting regulatory requirements (APRA/ABS/RBA & BIS) and being a trusted advisor for appropriate treatments and judgements. We seek someone who explains standards in a way that can be readily applied and proactively supports compliance, collaborating with stakeholders to achieve strong results. You will enable the Balance Sheet and Statistical Regulatory Reporting function in ongoing compliance with regulatory reporting governance frameworks, policies and standards and provide assurance deep dives. You will present recommendations to senior management and work with external regulators when needed.

In addition, you will champion one of the team’s focus areas such as regulatory developments, strategic initiatives, technical training or stakeholder engagement. 

What you offer

  • Tertiary degree in business or commerce and relevant accounting certification (CA/CPA) with 10+ years’ post-qualification experience in the financial services or investment banking industry
  • Demonstrated expertise in technical regulatory reporting and/or technical accounting advisory roles. Experience in financial or APRA reporting (including EFS, ARS300 series) or APS310 audit is highly regarded
  • Prior exposure to RFC registration and associated reporting requirements is considered beneficial
  • Effective communication skills with an ability to initiate and lead conversations with business leaders articulating complex technical matters with simplicity
  • Demonstrated people leader experience.
