Our Commodities and Global Markets Design team is dedicated to delivering human-centred solutions within the Commodities and Global Markets Group. By aligning data, digital, design, and engineering, we elevate digital experiences and reimagine how we deliver value for customers.

You will be joining a newly formed team dedicated to the design and architecture space across the entire Commodities and Global Markets business. Our team supports efforts to align data, digital, design, and engineering to better manage delivery prioritisation, investment decisions, and business aspirations.

What role will you play?

As a Service Designer, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future direction of our services, by ensuring they are customer-centred, efficient, and scalable. You will be responsible for leading strategic service design transformation across Commodities and Global Markets platforms.

Your strategic thinking, creative problem-solving, and ability to work collaboratively will drive transformational change across our organisation. Additionally, you will support the ongoing development of other designers and positively contribute to Design at Macquarie more broadly.

What you offer

  • Experience with leading and mentoring a design team, fostering a culture of creativity and innovation
  • Ability to develop and implement design strategies, aligning design initiatives with business goals
  • Proficiency with cross-functional collaboration, utilising strong interpersonal and communication skills to facilitate collaboration between different departments and capabilities
  • Deep expertise with facilitation, co-creation, and the design thinking methodology, promoting innovative and creative solutions to a range of stakeholders
  • Aptitude with mapping service ecosystems and processes and utilising these to co-create future state solutions
  • Deep understanding of UX/UI principles and best practices, including experience working with design systems.
