Join our Cryptography team, which is responsible for providing platforms that support the wider technology group in managing their key materials such as platform services that provide single plane of glass access to key management and automation services.

What role will you play?

In your role as Senior Software Developer, you will design, develop and maintain high-quality software solutions using JavaScript, Python, React and AWS. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design and ship new features, ensuring the performance, quality and responsiveness of applications. Your duties include identifying and rectifying bottlenecks, fixing bugs and maintaining code quality, organisation and automation.

Additionally, you will mentor and guide junior developers, fostering a collaborative and productive team environment. Staying current with industry trends and technologies and applying them as needed will also be a key aspect of your role.

What you offer

  • 5 years’ experience in software development, with a deep understanding of modern web technologies, cloud infrastructure and best practices in software engineering
  • Strong proficiency in JavaScript, including DOM manipulation and the JavaScript object model
  • Extensive experience with Python, including frameworks such as Django or Flask
  • Strong understanding of React.js and its core principles, along with popular state management libraries like Redux
  • Deep knowledge of AWS services and architecture, including but not limited to LB, EC2, S3, Lambda and RDS
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills, with experience working in an agile development environment
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related fields
  • Experience with containerisation technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes and familiarity with CI/CD pipelines are preferred
  • Knowledge of other programming languages and frameworks as well as contributions to open-source projects or a strong personal portfolio would be an advantage.
