Our Application Security Engineering team helps Macquarie engineers build secure, high-quality software by embedding security practices into every stage of the development lifecycle. Working within the AppSec team, you will collaborate with partners across Group Technology and Security to define best practices, shape policies, and drive the adoption of effective developer security tools.

What role will you play?

As an AppSec Technical Business Analyst, you will play a key role in integrating security solutions into the software development lifecycle. You will work closely with product owners, engineers and stakeholders to analyse requirements, define solutions, and support delivery of impactful initiatives. Your work will contribute to strengthening security practices while supporting innovation across a rapidly evolving technology landscape.

What you offer

  • 5-7 years of experience as a Technical Business Analyst within an agile, product-focused environment
  • Experience working in an enterprise security setting, with exposure to secure development practices, security engineering, or continuous integration and delivery pipelines
  • A strong interest in emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence, application security, developer experience, and platform engineering
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to translate business needs into clear, actionable requirements
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with a proactive mindset and a focus on continuous improvement.
