Join Macquarie’s Commodity Deal and Logistics Management team as a Transaction Facilitation Analyst out of our Houston office. This team is part of our Commodity Markets and Finance Division, which provides a full spectrum offering to clients with exposure to commodities. Commodity Markets and Finance provide risk management, financing, physical execution and logistics across the full spectrum of commodities and in all regions.

What role will you play?

In this role, you will act as a business analyst within the team, developing a deep understanding of end to end processes, identifying inefficiencies, mapping workflows, and partnering with Technology and COO teams to design and implement automation or process improvements. Through this, you will contribute to continuous enhancement of our operating model while building subject matter expertise across financing structures, systems, and operational risk.
To succeed in this you will learn the core transaction facilitation responsibilities including supporting the full lifecycle of lending and letter of credit transactions, ensuring they are booked, settled, and reflected accurately across internal systems. You will act as a liaison with clients, syndicate banks, traders, operations, finance, legal, and other internal teams to manage deal onboarding, execution, ongoing transaction servicing and funding using platforms such as LoanIQ, Salesforce, and internal Macquarie systems. You will manage daily workflows including exception handling, exposure validation, and P&L reasonability checks while also maintain static data and system configurations to support accurate execution and reporting.

  • Strong analytical capability with the ability to interpret legal documentation, understand deal mechanics, and translate requirements into operational or system outcomes
  • Interest in automation, workflow improvement, and system enhancement, with the ability to analyze processes, identify opportunities, and contribute to change initiatives
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with experience collaborating across front office, operations, credit, finance, and technology teams
  • High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast paced environment
  • A learning mindset with curiosity, commercial awareness, and a desire to grow into a subject matter expert.
