The Treasury Governance, Risk and Controls team works within our Banking and Financial Services Division and is responsible for ensuring and maintaining a robust treasury and regulatory reporting control environment.  

This role is a 12- month contract.

What role will you play?

You will provide advisory expertise to identify critical risks and controls in the Treasury and Regulatory reporting process, working closely with business and group teams. Your key responsibilities include developing strong documentation for end-to-end Treasury and Regulatory reporting processes, driving improvements and efficiencies in Treasury controls, as well as implementing automation and process improvements through engagement with Product teams and new technologies. Additionally, the role requires building strong relationships with senior stakeholders across Macquarie, while staying updated with new and evolving Treasury and Regulatory reporting requirements and industry changes. 

What you offer

  • A tertiary degree in Business/Commerce
  • Minimum 10+ years’ post-qualification experience in the financial services industry 
  • Previous experience and knowledge of Treasury Risk, Regulatory Reporting and/ or change, focusing on banking products, business requirements, process maps or risk and controls matrix 
  • Strong risk and control mindset, prior experience with system data flows would be beneficial 
  • Knowledge and a passion for data, reporting and analytics in a control environment 
  • Strong relationship building, communication and stakeholder management skills.
