Join our Enterprise Data Platform team, supporting the Corporate Data Platform as we deliver secure and scalable cloud data capabilities across Macquarie. You will work with AWS, Kubernetes, Airflow and infrastructure as code to enable data science, analytics, reporting and data engineering use cases for internal teams.

What role will you play?

In this role, you will build, run and improve the AWS-based platform that enables internal teams to deliver data ingestion, ETL, orchestration and analytics workloads. You will deploy new tools, improve platform standards, automate operational processes and enhance CI/CD pipelines using technologies such as Kubernetes, Airflow, ArgoCD, Helm and Terraform. You will also support internal users through a shared service model, helping teams use the platform securely, reliably and at scale.

What you offer

  • Hands-on background in AWS cloud, DevOps, platform engineering or data platform engineering.
  • Strong working knowledge of AWS services and concepts such as IAM, S3, Glue, RDS, CloudFormation and secure cloud operations.
  • Practical skills across Docker and Kubernetes, including tools such as ArgoCD and Helm.
  • Familiarity with Airflow or similar data orchestration tools, as well as CI/CD tools such as Bamboo, GitHub Actions or Argo Workflows.
  • Infrastructure as code capability, ideally using Terraform, CloudFormation or similar technologies.
  • Understanding of data platform concepts, including data ingestion, ETL, SQL databases, S3/object storage and pipeline orchestration.
  • Exposure to Spark, Starburst, Presto, Hive, DBT or other big data technologies would be beneficial.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to work with internal customers, engineering teams and cross-functional stakeholders.
