Join our Position Reporting Team within Compliance and play a vital role in protecting Macquarie and supporting its diverse business activities by managing compliance controls related to group-wide holdings, information flows, transparency obligations, and regulatory disclosures. As part of the Compliance Regulatory Reporting Function, the team is responsible for the accurate and timely reporting of Macquarie’s substantial shareholdings in line with global regulatory requirements.

What role will you play?

You will monitor position reporting obligations, compile and submit regulatory reports, investigate and resolve data quality alerts, and partner with business teams to obtain and validate relevant information. Working closely with stakeholders across Compliance, Technology and business teams throughout the organisation, you will build strong relationships to support effective reporting outcomes.

Your key responsibilities will include executing and continuously enhancing global position reporting and monitoring processes, reviewing and maintaining related policies and procedures, ensuring all regulatory filings are completed accurately and on time, assessing and implementing regulatory changes that impact position reporting requirements, and providing support and backup coverage for other Tracing Notice activities as needed.

  • Legal or compliance experience gained within an investment bank, in particular position monitoring, supported by relevant tertiary qualifications and a solid understanding of the global regulatory reporting environment
  • Working knowledge of regulatory reporting requirements in major global markets
  • Strong relationship management and influencing skills
  • Comfortable dealing with large sets of data
  • Able to manage competing priorities and a level-headed approach under short delivery timeframes
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Strong organisational and communication skills.
