Our Technology Risk team partners closely with Macquarie’s Commodities and Global Markets, and Macquarie Capital businesses to foster a proactive risk culture and drive innovative solutions. We support our colleagues in managing operational and technology risks, ensuring robust risk management practices are embedded across the organisation.

What role will you play?

As a Technology Risk Specialist, you will collaborate with technology teams and senior stakeholders to identify and address operational issues, strengthening our risk controls. You will lead investigations into risk incidents, provide strategic recommendations, and deliver training and assurance reviews to embed a culture of continuous improvement. Your expertise in data analytics will help automate control testing and provide actionable insights to enhance risk management.

What you offer

  • Demonstrated experience in technology risk or cyber risk management, assurance, or audit, ideally within financial or professional services
  • Proficiency in process automation or data analytics tools, such as Alteryx, Power BI, or SQL
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to navigate complex situations and develop effective solutions
  • Excellent communication skills, with confidence in engaging senior business leaders and risk management colleagues
  • A collaborative approach, with the ability to work effectively across global teams in a dynamic and agile environment; experience in equities or financial markets is highly valued
