As part of Corporate Affairs, our Event Marketing team designs and delivers experiences that strengthen relationships with clients, stakeholders and staff, reinforcing our capabilities and brand values. You will be creating high quality events and working closely with Corporate Affairs colleagues across Media and External Communications, Internal Communications, Macquarie Studio, Engagement, Brand and Creative and Government Relations teams.

While Macquarie offers hybrid working for many of our roles, this role does require 3 days a week in the advertised location.

What role will you play?

In this role, you will independently project manage a range of staff and client events while also contributing to larger global projects and conferences. Working in an organised and process driven manner, ensuring each event meets its objectives through effective planning, execution and stakeholder engagement. Your work will include proposal development, contract negotiation, budget management, risk assessment, mobile app creation and onsite delivery, as well as post event reporting and evaluation.

Working with a range of digital platforms such as Cvent to support both live and on demand virtual and hybrid events, collaborating closely with a range of stakeholders and internal teams. You will effectively respond to changing needs and contribute to creating high quality experiences that reflect our brand and values.

What you offer

  • 7 years + experience in a similar event role, leading projects and managing working groups.
  • Proven ability to organise complex, large-scale events within a financial services organisation.
  • Advanced communication skills that allow you contribute to strategy and partner with senior business leaders.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
  • Previous experience using Cvent or similar event management platforms.
  • Problem-solving and adaptability skills, allowing you to find creative solutions to last minute changes and requests.
  • Proactive and resourceful approach, with the willingness to take initiative.
