What role will you play?

In this role, you will work on designing and delivering automation solutions that support our database platforms and cloud services such as AWS RDS and Aurora. You will apply your programming expertise in Python, Java, Ansible, and PowerShell to streamline workflows, enhance reliability, and resolve complex engineering challenges. You will collaborate with global engineering teams across the UK, US, and Asia/ANZ as part of an on‑call rotation, contributing to an Agile or DevOps environment focused on building scalable and efficient solutions.

What you offer

• 5+ years of engineering experience with exposure to database technologies and automation.
• Strong programming skills (e.g., Python, Java, Ansible, PowerShell) and ability to troubleshoot complex automation issues.
• Good understanding of database concepts, TSQL and automation of database processes/workflows and hands‑on experience with cloud database platforms (e.g., AWS RDS, Aurora) and supporting automation that uses AWS services (e.g., EC2, Lambda, SNS).
• Comfort with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Grafana, Prometheus, Splunk) and version control systems (e.g., Bitbucket, GitHub).
• Strong customer focus, communication skills, and ability to work independently in a global, agile environment.
