Senior Associate - Withholding Taxes - - 21636 - Macquarie Group

We have an exciting opportunity to join our Tax Reporting team based in Gurugram working closely with counterparts globally. Our team is responsible for the completion of varied tax compliances and payments, (including tax office correspondence) accounting, reconciliations and other related processes for the global entities with the Macquarie Group.

What role will you play?

In this role, you will focus on management of Withholding Taxes and Foreign Tax Credit across multiple jurisdictions and countries in Asia, EMEA and ANZ region. This includes all tax compliances, accounting, reporting requirements and handling Tax office queries. You will prepare, review, and file Withholding Tax returns, manage related tax accounting and compliance deadlines while liaising with internal stakeholders. You will also be responsible for managing the Foreign Tax Credit claims, ensuring technical and documentation requirements for claim are met, leakages are identified, socialised and provisioned for. You will utilize your expertise to improve services, processes, and systems, and staying updated on tax requirements and changes in tax laws.

• A recently qualified Chartered Accountant

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills;

• Stakeholder management skills and ability to work effectively in a global and virtual team whilst maintaining cross-border relationships;

• Experience with tax reporting and financial systems; and

• Background with the big 4 tax firms or experience in taxation within a shared services environment or financial services are advantageous.
