The Financial Management Transformation and Platforms team are enabling Finance to become a modern, scalable, function of the future. In a period where technology is driving a rapid need to adapt, the team oversee a large portfolio of transformation initiatives designed to reimagine the way we work and to ensure we meet our reporting obligations including financial, regulatory and tax reporting to our global regulators.

This is an initial 12 month contract.

What role will you play?

As a Program Director, you will work closely with the Finance leadership team and stakeholders across Macquarie to provide oversight of a high priority Finance Transformation Program. The Program will need to balance compliance outcomes, whilst delivering a strategic and scalable global solution in line with emerging target state architecture.

You will draw on your program delivery expertise to provide leadership to a team of project management and finance professionals, to optimise delivery practices and to ensure effective prioritisation of deliverables. Given the wide-reaching impacts of the program, you will leverage exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills to drive a culture of collaboration and performance.

  • Experience working on large scale transformation projects within the Financial services sector, ideally within a Finance function
  • Experience in Agile, waterfall and hybrid delivery methodologies and a proven track record of meeting deadlines
  • An analytical risk management mindset, prioritisation skills, and decision-making ability to efficiently solve problems and understand when/how to escalate
  • A strategic thinker with demonstrated commercial acumen who is able to align program objectives with broader organisational goals
  • Adaptability in a dynamic environment where priorities shift across multiple initiatives with hard deadlines
  • Strong stakeholder and relationship management skills with the ability to work at different levels across different disciplines
