Our Macquarie Asset Management public markets EMEA legal team is a core component of our public market’s operations. We collaborate closely with distribution, fund operations, and investment management teams across our offices in London, Luxembourg, and Vienna. The team is dedicated to ensuring our operations remain compliant, efficient, and perfectly aligned with our overarching business goals, supporting a wide range of strategies within multi-asset, equities, and fixed income asset classes.

What role will you play?

In this prominent role, you will be crucial in advising on the establishment, development, and continuous management of separately managed accounts, as well as the negotiation of investment management agreements. You will take the lead in drafting and negotiating distribution agreements, sponsorship, and event agreements, and provide expert advice on marketing materials and distribution regulations in line with Markets in Financial Instruments Directive rules across the EMEA region. Additionally, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing our legal team's knowledge management framework, ensuring we stay ahead in legal and regulatory compliance.

What you offer

• 6 to 10 years of post-qualification experience, with a proven ability to apply technical legal knowledge in a way that is commercially astute and aligned with business objectives.

• Extensive experience in private practice and/or in-house legal roles within asset management, demonstrating a strong foundation in legal aspects of cross-border transactions and global jurisdictions.

• The capability to distill complex regulatory and legal issues into clear, actionable advice, showing a deep understanding of the nuances involved.

• A history of effective operation across multiple global jurisdictions, with an aptitude for navigating the intricacies of international legal frameworks.

• Outstanding communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment and influence stakeholders at various organizational levels.
