Within Macquarie Asset Management, Alternatives to Wealth is a strategic investment team dedicated to expanding the boundaries of traditional wealth management. Our approach integrates alternative asset classes—including infrastructure, private credit, real assets, and sustainability-linked investments—into multi-asset portfolios. We design and deliver innovative investment solutions tailored to the evolving needs of our clients, going beyond traditional asset classes to enhance diversification and deliver superior outcomes.
As an Alternatives to Wealth Tech Lead, you will play a pivotal role in driving technology innovation and operational excellence across our multi-asset business while collaborating with Real Assets, Private Credit, and Equities teams. You will work closely with our Digital business partners and technology teams to design, implement, and optimize the platform to enhance client experiences, streamline operations, and support the continued growth of our platform.

Lead the design, development, and deployment of the Multi-Asset Technology Platform, integrating both proprietary and vendor-supplied solutions (e.g., Aladdin, eFront, Titan) to meet the diverse needs of Macquarie’s multi-asset business
Drive the successful execution of digital transformation initiatives across the multi-asset fund lifecycle, including fund inception, portfolio construction, fund operations, and compliance checks.
Collaborate with investment and operations stakeholders to translate strategic goals into technology-enabled solutions that enhance liquidity management, reporting cadence, and client experience.
Build, develop, and champion a strong engineering team with a focus on business alignment, collaboration, and delivering results as a cohesive unit.
Provide coaching and mentoring to team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning, innovation, and professional growth.
Stay ahead of industry trends in private markets, alternatives, and asset management to ensure our solutions remain competitive and forward-looking.
What you offer

Extensive experience with Financial Industry and high familiarity with Asset Management, with exposure to Private Assets preferred.
Familiarity with Wealth offering as well as Trade Allocation and Compliance built on top of a Consolidated multi-asset IBOR is a big plus.
Motivation to engage and stay abreast while leveraging AI and advanced analytics to enhance functionality and workflow efficiencies.
Cloud Expertise (AWS and GCP): Strong hands-on experience with AWS cloud services (e.g., S3, Lambda, EC2, RDS, Redshift, Glue, etc.) as well as GCP BigQuery
Programming: Proficiency in Python for data processing and automation. Knowledge of UI frameworks, like React is a plus
Data Engineering Tools: Advanced knowledge of dbt for data transformation and modeling.
SQL: Expertise in writing complex SQL queries and optimizing database performance.
Workflow Orchestration: Experience with Apache Airflow for building and managing workflows.
Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to bridge the gap between business and technology teams.
