We have a great opportunity for a Senior UX/UI Designer to help us define and deliver our experience vision across our internet banking and mobile banking platforms. Working within the Research and Design team, reporting to the Senior Design Lead for Internet and Mobile Banking platforms, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring that Macquarie creates exceptional financial experiences.

As an instrumental player, you'll be pivotal in shaping and advancing our design standards. Your role involves crafting innovative and user-friendly UX/UI solutions that address complex challenges while aligning with our vision and organizational goals (OKRs). As a leader in our team, you'll drive user-centered design activities, pushing the boundaries of conventional thinking and forging new methodologies to navigate intricate design issues. Your expertise will also be key in designing and leading workshops that foster ideation and iteration, whether working with small teams or large groups, and regardless of whether the collaboration is remote or in-person.
In this collaborative environment, you'll work alongside Business Analysts, Engineers, Product Managers, Researchers, and Designers to tackle problems and strategically prioritize design activities and research. You'll stand as a champion for our customers, translating research findings into compelling narratives and sharing them with diverse audiences through detailed reports and persuasive presentations.

What you offer

  • A designer with 5-8+ years working as a UX & UI Designer or Product Designer, including experience conducting UX research. 
  • You will have shipped multiple digital products and understand what it takes to create exceptional customer experiences. 
  • An excellent portfolio showcasing in-depth knowledge and experience of UX and UI for mobile, desktop and web-based applications. 
  • End to end experience of managing design activities across the user-centred design process including strong design research skills, iterative design and prototyping and facilitation of usability testing. 
  • Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, with the ability to create high quality artefacts such as personas, journey maps, task models, wireframes, and interactive prototypes. 
  • Comfortable working in an Agile environment and resilience in the face of shifting priorities. 
  • Boundless curiosity about how people use technology and how to create great experiences. 
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills; both written and verbal. 
  • Highly professional, with the ability to play nicely as part of a multi-disciplinary team, inspired by group critique. 
  • Formal education in a relevant field such as Design, Research, Human Computer-Interaction, or similar.
