The Financial Planning and Analysis team supports Macquarie’s Risk Management Group on all finance related matters including reporting and budgeting of costs and cost drivers, recovery of costs across the Group, and management of related processes and controls to ensure compliance with accounting and tax requirements. We proactively partner with a wide range of stakeholders across Macquarie to provide insights and analysis to help manage their cost base in support of Risk Management Group’s strategy.

As a key member of the team, you will build and maintain strong relationships across the Risk Management Group and wider business teams to provide decision support and advice to stakeholders. You will prepare, review, and report financial results and provide meaningful insights into the cost base. Furthermore, you will provide support and continuous improvements to the Business Group Financial Planning and analysis teams and business leads to ensure the understanding of cost recoveries methodologies and its impacts to the businesses are met.

What you offer

  • 4 + years’ experience within a financial planning and analysis or treasury role
  • Relevant tertiary qualification e.g. actuarial, accounting, economics, engineering, mathematics
  • CA/CPA qualified
  • Experience with PowerBI, TM1, Alteryx or similar data visualisation applications
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills with an ability to understand and succinctly explain large and complex data sets
  • Experience with budgeting, profit and loss and balance sheet reporting.

In our Risk Management Group, you will be part of an independent, and centralised function, responsible for independent and objective review and challenge, oversight, monitoring and reporting in relation to Macquarie’s material risks. Our divisions include Compliance, Credit, Financial Crime Risk, Internal Audit, Market Risk, Operational Risk, Prudential Risk, and Risk Management Group Central.
