We have a great opportunity for a Lead UX/UI Designer to help us define and deliver our experience vision across our Loan Originations Platforms.

What role will you play?

As a Lead UX and UI Designer, you will be accountable for the quality of design output across multiple Agile squads on our Personal Banking platforms. You will partner with our Director of Product to envisage and deliver on our Loan Originations Platforms. You will work with the other designers in your portfolio to ensure output is of high quality and consistent across our ecosystem.

This role does not have direct reports, but you will work closely with our Design Director to ensure your portfolio is resourced appropriately and designers have access to the right tools and processes to be highly effective. In this role, you’ll work closely with the Design Director, Designers, Directors of Product, Product Managers, Business Analysts, Tech Leads and Engineers who make up our Agile squads.

You will partner with them to ensure our processes are efficient mutually beneficial so we can deliver the best user experience for our customers, helping Macquarie achieve our goal of becoming the #1 Digital Bank

What you offer

  • A minimum of 8 years experience in UX and UI or Product Design, with a proven track record of leading design projects to successful outcomes.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing expertise in user experience design, visual design, and design thinking methodologies.
  • Proficiency in design and prototyping tools, most importantly Figma.
  • Experience conducting generative and evaluative research for digital products.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to articulate design concepts and rationalisation of design decisions to stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to mentor and elevate a design team’s work without direct people management responsibilities.

This design function at Macquarie helps envision and deliver how customers experience our various products and services across multiple digital channels. We span across the full design spectrum, from early-stage conceptual design and research to delivering pixel-perfect interfaces on our digital platforms.
