Sitting within the Equity Execution team at Macquarie, the Macquarie Liquidity Solutions Group combines strong client relationships with advanced technology to offer a market leading block trading execution platform to our clients. You will be joining our Liquidity Solutions desk in Hong Kong as a Trading Analyst, working alongside senior traders and quantitative developers in an established, industry leading execution team with a focus on large dollar notional equity block engagements.

What role will you play?

You will play an important role in the success of the team by interacting with our clients on a daily basis, providing support and advice throughout the deal lifecycle, including product sales, onboarding, servicing and trouble-shooting as required. By developing strong internal relationships, you will work closely with our quant and data teams to constantly improve and finetune our algorithms, as well as collaborate with sales trading, portfolio trading, regional research and sales teams to leverage Macquarie’s global platform and reach. You will also have the opportunity to develop through participation in global project work, including marketing, operational or product initiatives.

What you offer

  • Excellent academic qualifications as a recent graduate or a final year student; specific finance-related degrees/majors are not essential
  • An innate passion for financial markets with an eagerness to learn and the drive to succeed in a fast paced and high pressure environment
  • The ability to communicate ideas succinctly with fluency in English. Additional Asian language skills are advantageous but not crucial to the role
  • Driven and commercially-minded with excellent attention to detail and the ability to make quick judgements
  • A strong sense of ownership in a collaborative team culture and the ability to build relationships quickly with a high level of organizational, time management and stakeholder management skills.
