Join our Commodities and Global Markets business as a Senior Analyst / Associate in our Global Carbon team based in Shanghai.

What role will you play?

You will be responsible for preparing and pitching new origination ideas with senior bankers and co-managing execution of complex transactions as part of a team specialising in the provision of structured origination and trading activities to offer carbon solutions to conglomerates, multicommodity and pure carbon companies, with a global remit and a focus on China. Your primary activities will include market research and reporting, modelling, internal presentation and marketing material preparation, transaction origination support, structuring, due diligence, transaction documentation and execution, and ongoing deal monitoring post close.

What you offer

• 2-5 years’ experience in commodities and capital markets related positions. Experience in investment banking, sales and trading, project/structured finance from a sell-side and/or buy-side environment will also be considered

• Transaction experience in China with bilingual capability in Chinese and English due to the geographical focus of the role

• Excellent financial modelling, presentation and communication skills

• Knowledge of carbon markets would be an advantage and knowledge of Chinese carbon markets would be strongly preferred but not essential
