Our global Non-Financial Risk division (Line 1 risk) provide advice, valuable input and challenge across our Financial Management Group in our role as the independent voice of risk, and aid staff in applying non-financial risk management best practices.

What role will you play?

You will focus on ensuring operational risk management best practises are applied to the diverse range of activities conducted within the Treasury function. Core activities include the interpretation and application of Group and Divisional policies to be applied to business-as-usual activities and timely escalation of operational risks, concerns, and issues to local and global stakeholders, as required. 

You will review operational incidents to prevent recurrence and provide operational risk advice to key Group Treasury initiatives ensuring that processes are being designed effectively with sufficient and appropriate controls.

You will also be responsible for assessing and monitoring the design and operation of Group Treasury Control Standards, which provide a framework for the consistent application of the Control Framework across the organisation.  

As part of your role in ensuring that our control environment is effective you will be required to consider the relevant processes performed within Group Treasury and the risks and controls that impacts the environment are designed and operating effectively.

What you offer

• 10 years’ of experience in Financial Services in operational risk management or risk assurance expert specialising across treasury functions, financial accounting, product control or bank liquidity management or reporting
• Project and/or change management experience in a complex multi-faceted programs to tight deadlines advantageous
• Practical understanding of the implementation of risk and control frameworks to manage enterprise risks in highly regulated legal entities and across group structures
• Strong stakeholder engagement skills including experience working across global regions
• Ability to support strict governance requirements and challenge existing business practices.
