Join us as an Internal Audit Senior Associate in our Global Markets Trading Portfolio team. You'll bring an eye for detail and a keen interest in trading risks in a financial services environment while gaining valuable insight into our risk and control frameworks.

What role will you play?

In this role, you will be responsible for assessing the design and operating effectiveness of controls within Macquarie's Commodities and Global Markets business. These controls are essential for providing independent recommendations to the board and senior management. You will work in both regional and global internal audit project teams, assisting in defining audit scopes and conducting testing. You will also collaborate with stakeholders to monitor risks and contribute to the ongoing improvement of the risk management framework.

What you offer

  • CA, CPA, or MBA qualification, as well as 1-2 years of post-qualification experience in audit or risk management, preferably in a financial services institution.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proven technical and analytical skills, supported by attention to detail, sound judgment, and the ability to identify operational risk issues of material significance.
  • A motivated team player with strong relationship management skills.

About the Risk Management Group

In our Risk Management Group, you will be part of an independent, and centralised function, responsible for independent and objective review and challenge, oversight, monitoring and reporting in relation to Macquarie’s material risks. Our divisions include Compliance, Credit, Financial Crime Risk, Internal Audit, Market Risk, Operational Risk, Prudential Risk, and Risk Management Group Central.
