This team consists of highly motivated market risk experts who are undertaking a regulatory uplift across market risk & fundamental review of the trading book (FRTB) processes.

What role will you play?

You will focus on delivering a core workstream within the CRR3/CRD6 Project, playing a key role in the implementation of FRTB for our European entity.

In this role, you will work closely with the Market Risk team to support the implementation of capital reporting requirements for FRTB, establish and test the operating model for FRTB Market Risk capital calculation, reporting and legal entity oversight, including the establishment of new processes to support this. 

In addition, you will perform a review of final regulatory texts, including the relevant regulatory technical standards, and uplift FRTB policies and procedures to meet regulatory requirements.

  • Solid experience as a Senior Business Analyst, working hands-on from initiation through to delivery, ideally within financial risk domain.
  • Strong understanding of Market Risk principles: ability to understand FRTB regulatory requirements and assist with the delivery of the technical FRTB implementation.
  • Ability to work independently to deliver project milestones and provide regular updates to the CRR3/CRD6 Project Manager.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify technical requirements.
  • Ability to build relationships and work closely with business and technical stakeholders at all levels and drive the project to ensure delivery on a timely basis.
  • Proven strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with technical proficiency to analyse data and data manipulation (i.e. Structured Query Language, Power Business Intelligence etc).
  • Previous experience in delivering large and complex projects with distributed teams across different time zones.

In our Risk Management Group, you will be part of an independent, and centralised function, responsible for independent and objective review and challenge, oversight, monitoring and reporting in relation to Macquarie’s material risks. Our divisions include Compliance, Credit, Financial Crime Risk, Internal Audit, Market Risk, Operational Risk, Prudential Risk, and Risk Management Group Central.
