The Surveillance Department within our Risk Management Group provides business surveillance to Macquarie's operating businesses and support groups. This is an exciting opportunity to use your expertise in financial products, especially over-the-counter commodities products and exchanged-traded derivatives like Futures and Options.
What role will you play?

You will be part of the Equities Business Surveillance team to perform daily Surveillance reviews on various market abuse scenario alert types and provide adequate review documentation of the resolution of alerts. Regularly engaging with your local and global colleagues, you will identify patterns and behaviors indicating market abuse and misconduct, and proactively contribute to the fine-tuning exercises of our detection parameters and models. In addition, you will maintain and update the documentation procedures related to surveillance processes and participate with the User Acceptance Testing of new systems/models if needed.
What you offer

- Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, economics, or any relevant field of discipline
- 1-2 years of experience in compliance or any regulatory role with a focus on detection and review of potential risks especially market abuse and manipulation
- Strong understanding of traded products which may include equities and/or fixed income, FX, Futures,Options, Commodities
- Knowledge in reviewing market abuse scenarios such as frontrunning, layering, spoofing, ramping, and the use of market surveillance systems such as Nasdaq SMARTS and Scila
- Ability to multi-task, work independently, prioritise work to deadlines while maintaining a high degree of accuracy and quality of work
- Experience with case management NICE ActOne is advantageous.
