We have an exciting opportunity for a Payment Compliance Analyst to join our growing Payment Compliance Team to perform transaction and reference data screening in support of Macquarie’s commitment to comply with its regulatory obligations.

What role will you play?

You will conduct internal and external investigations of sanction concerns in collaboration with other internal and external stakeholders. You will be required to screen entity names against sanctions, adverse news, and politically exposed persons list in relation to third party payments. You will manage and ensure timely response is made to sanctions related correspondent bank queries and escalate any due diligence findings to the Financial Crime Risk team for further guidance or approval.

  • Excellent research and analytical skills, with the ability to summarise and communicate complex findings
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Able to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
  • Ability to follow the designed and embedded policies and procedures in line with the AML requirements
  • Experience in AML/CTF compliance within a regulatory environment or relevant tertiary education desirable but not essential.
