What role will you play?

In your role as a Regulatory Initiatives Manager, you will support the Program Director, Program Manager and Assurance Lead in oversight and governance of the delivery of major regulatory initiatives. You will lead and coordinate monthly report submissions from workstreams, build trusted relationships and communicate effectively with a wide set of senior level stakeholders. In addition, proactively identify emerging program delivery risks, reconciliation of risk issues, highlight and resolve inconsistencies and review and challenge underlying workstream reporting and governance documentation.

Furthermore, you will lead the change control process, assist with the coordination and preparation of quarterly Steering Committee and Board Reporting and drive updates where required on key program governance tools and templates.

  • Experience working on risk and regulatory projects within banking and financial services organisations or in a consulting capacity from a professional services firm
  • Demonstrable understanding of project delivery risk management, including, assurance, controls and the three lines of defence
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to interpret and visualise complex information from a variety of sources and challenges that may arise in the planning, execution or delivery of large scale regulatory programmes
  • High attention to detail with strong stakeholder management skills with senior level stakeholders
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to write and prepare reports at executive management level (e.g. Steering Committee) and Board level
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.

In our Risk Management Group, you will be part of an independent, and centralised function, responsible for independent and objective review and challenge, oversight, monitoring and reporting in relation to Macquarie’s material risks. Our divisions include Compliance, Credit, Financial Crime Risk, Internal Audit, Market Risk, Operational Risk, Prudential Risk, and Risk Management Group Central.
