Join our Credit, Capital and Liquidity team within our Commodities and Global Markets division, based in Sydney. You will work across market facing businesses and be responsible for providing data-driven insights to support key decisions that have a real impact on the way we manage capital and liquidity positions for both the short and long term

What role will you play?

In this role, you will focus on Regulatory Initial Margin and the ISDA SIMM model, with initial responsibility for monitoring and reporting the performance of derivative portfolios within the SIMM model. You will also be assisting trading desks in quantifying Initial Margin and funding requirements for new trades, and ensuring new products are correctly implemented to meet model requirements.

You will apply your understanding of market risk and credit risk principles to derivatives traded across our Commodities and Global Markets division and contribute to our team’s value-add by providing accurate and insightful analysis, and sound advice.

What you offer

  • Degree in finance, engineering, science or related quantitative discipline(s).
  • 1-2 years of experience working in a financial institution or professional services firm.
  •  Attention to detail and problem solving abilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • An ability to manage a range of simultaneous tasks through to completion. Numerical and analytical strengths, and an ability to grasp abstract concepts and complex situations.
  • Ability to apply regulatory standards and driving improvements in control frameworks. Proficiency in data analytics. Python skills looked upon favourably.
