What role will you play?

In this role, you will deliver software solutions that empower our people to innovate and invest for a better future. Collaborating with colleagues around the globe, you will engage with a variety of modern technologies, all built on our cloud-based infrastructure.
You will contribute to our dynamic and collaborative engineering team by utilising CI/CD, BDD, code quality practices, and monitoring. You'll build data and control pipelines across various technologies, including Python, JavaScript, and AWS, using event-driven messaging and APIs. You will be empowered to research, evaluate, and present recommendations for innovative technologies and frameworks.

What you offer

  • Proven engineering skills with the ability to work in Python using AWS to build data pipelines and microservices.
  • Understanding of Design Patterns, Testing methodologies, and the overall Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
  • Comfortable proposing designs, gathering feedback, building solutions with reusability in mind, and documenting/explaining how the solution works. Comprehension of security aspects, including authentication and authorisation.
  • Familiarity with Linux, Shell Scripting, load balancing, and basic networking concepts. Experience with Relational Database Services (RDS), including SQL and PL/SQL.
  • Building solutions with user experience, automation, security, performance, resilience, cost, scale, and reusability in mind.
  • Willingness to work in shifts to support stakeholders and collaborate with team members in Australia and the United States, as required
