Join our highly-rated Equity Research team in Hong Kong and help further expand our market reach across Asia. You will be supporting our macro thematic team, including the group’s Research Director, in uncovering exciting emerging themes in Asia in an entrepreneurial and collaborative culture.

What role will you play?

As a member of a high-performing team, you will actively participate in generating new ideas and provide support to a team that delivers insightful and robust thematic reports. Working closely across themes, strategy and ESG, you will help communicate our investment ideas to our key global clients by conducting analysis on emerging investment themes across sectors, researching and presenting data in a commercial manner and writing content to create thought-provoking investment reports. Additionally, you will engage directly with regional and global institutional clients, participate in client events, engage with corporates across Asia and support sales and client requests.

What you offer

  • A tertiary qualification in economics, finance, journalism or a similar discipline
  • 2+ years’ relevant experience in fast-paced financial institutions including sell-side research, buy-side research, investment banking or similar environments
  • Experience covering macro, ESG and/or thematic research would be an advantage
  • Strong quantitative skills and numerical literacy with a track record of working collaboratively across internal teams and engaging external stakeholders. Experience gathering data using financial systems like Bloomberg, Factset and WIND are highly valued
  • An engaging storyteller with exceptional writing skills and the ability to communicate ideas succinctly in English. Additional language capability in Chinese is essential 
  • A self-motivated, inquisitive and flexible lateral thinker with a can-do attitude, a strong drive to succeed and willingness to learn. Comfortable working independently and managing multiple work-streams and reporting lines.
