Our Product Control department within the Finance division plays a pivotal role in ensuring the integrity and accuracy of financial reporting for our trading business. By focusing on the balance sheet and income statement, the team diligently reviews daily profit and loss attribution, reserves, adjustments, and conducts front to back reconciliations. This meticulous oversight supports our Commodities Markets & Finance (CMF) businesses globally, providing risk and capital solutions that span physical and financial markets.

As an Analyst in our London-based Finance - Product Control team, you will be instrumental in safeguarding our financial integrity. Your role will encompass the detailed reporting and reconciliation of daily profit and loss, participating in the month-end close, and ensuring compliance with all financial policies. You’ll collaborate closely with both onshore and offshore teams, building strong relationships across Front Office, Market Risk, and Financial Control to enhance our control environment and identify opportunities for process improvement.

What you offer

• Relevant experience (1-2 years) in Financial Control or Product Control, with exposure to a commodity trading environment seen as a significant advantage.
• A keen eye for detail coupled with a strong commitment to accuracy and thoroughness in all aspects of work.
• The ability to see tasks through to completion, demonstrating high levels of energy, commitment, and flexibility.
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, with the ability to influence and build strong professional relationships.
• A foundational understanding of trade valuations, risk factors, and the ability to work effectively as part of a dynamic team.
