Our Macquarie Group team is excited to open a position for a creative and skilled Mid-Senior Product Designer (UX/UI)

This role represents a fantastic opportunity for a driven individual to play a pivotal role in shaping digital experiences across the Commodities and Global Markets division. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to create innovative, user-centric solutions that meet both user needs and business goals. Your expertise in both UX and UI design will ensure that our products are not only functional but also intuitive and aesthetically pleasing.

What role will you play?

In this role, you will have a human-centered design focus and enthusiasm for interacting with our stakeholders to solve problems small and large will be a key to success.

You will be driving change, not only as a technologist, but also as a holistic solutions provider, applying all aspects of your design skills to help solve workflow orchestration, automation flow and executive dashboard needs of the business. You will manage the design process from Discovery to Delivery for various digital solutions, ensuring a cohesive user experience and visually compelling design across all platforms. You will also conduct user research and usability testing to gather insights, validate concepts to ‘champion the voice of the customer’ and continuously improve the user experience.

You will Communicate user goals, tasks, needs, behaviours, and opportunities using visual artifacts such as service design maps, customer journey maps, user flows, wireframes, and more. You will develop prototypes and wireframes to communicate design concepts and facilitate user testing as well as craft visually appealing high-fidelity designs with attention to detail, adhering to brand guidelines and design systems.

What you offer

  • 3+ years UX/UI design experience in digital product focus environment. This is even evidenced strong portfolio showcasing your design process, user-centered design solutions, and visual design skills across various platforms. Financial Services is preferred but not essential.
  • Proficiency in design tools like Figma (essential), Adobe Creative Suite and an understanding of the technical constraints and possibilities of digital product development.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate design decisions to different stakeholders.
  • Experience with user research and usability testing methodologies.
  • Creative problem-solving skills and a detail-oriented mindset.
