Join our Cyber Security Technology team where you will be working with teams who provide a safe and responsive environment within Macquarie, as well as prepare for, protect against and respond to cyber threats.

What role will you play?

As an Agile Project Manager, you will work closely with the Program lead, Product Owner(s), stakeholders and other delivery partners to collaborate and build strong relationships with your initiative team, cross-functional teams and the wider business and technology teams.

You will lead and oversee the end-to-end planning of initiatives and/or epics and execution of continuous delivery in-line with Macquarie policies and processes, using different methodologies as required.

Key responsibilities include creating the environment and team culture to deliver value, while fostering psychological safety through a learning mindset. Milestone planning, monitoring and reporting using quarterly and sprint cadences. Using metrics effectively to influence the performance and delivery of squads/teams. Identifying dependencies and gaining capacity commitments and delivery handshakes from other delivery teams to meet the required milestones. Additionally, you will utilize diverse tooling and metrics to drive delivery efficiencies, ensuring work task definitions align with the Definition of Ready (DOR) and Definition of Done (DOD), while maintaining agreed JIRA hygiene standards. Looking ahead to manage potential risks and impediments, so that decisions are made in a timely manner and issues are escalated as soon as possible.

What you offer

  • 5+ years’ experience in a Scrum master or Delivery manager role within institutional banking or financial services industry
  • Experience in different agile delivery methodologies and common practices such as Scrum, Kanban and Scrumban
  • Experience working with Dev ops teams
  • Good interpersonal skills, facilitation, communication and ability to connect with the squad
  • Passionate about delivery and continuous improvement, always on the lookout for ways the team and the broader delivery community can win and improve
  • Experience in governance and reporting on projects within Atlassian products such as JIRA and Confluence.
  • Experience in different delivery methodologies and common practices such as Scrum, Kanban, Scrumban and Hybrid Waterfall
