Join Macquarie’s Compliance team in the Risk Management Division in Sydney and play a key role in advising, reviewing, and challenging compliance risks in the division.

What role will you play?

As a Senior Analyst/Manager in the team, your primary responsibilities will include interacting with Line 1 stakeholders and providing compliance advice and guidance (both for ad-hoc requests as well as preparing periodic communications with regulatory updates). You will conduct product and business reviews, manage incidents, provide input into breach reporting and draft communications to regulators whilst also maintaining policies, preparing and delivering training.

In addition, you will perform monitoring over controls, assisting in audits and contribute to various projects, including regulatory changes. This will involve engaging in, and advising on, the implementation of regulations, performing regulatory gap-analyses and risk assessments and actively consulting with and assisting teams to planned system and operational developments and changes.

What you offer

  • Experience working in Compliance, with an understanding of risk management and the regulatory environment in Banking or Financial Services.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Law, Finance, Commerce or a similar discipline
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders at multiple levels
  • High degree of commercial acumen

In our Risk Management Group, you will be part of an independent, and centralised function, responsible for independent and objective review and challenge, oversight, monitoring and reporting in relation to Macquarie’s material risks. Our divisions include Compliance, Credit, Financial Crime Risk, Internal Audit, Market Risk, Operational Risk, Prudential Risk, and Risk Management Group Central.
