We are a team of highly motivated market risk professionals who are undertaking a ground up transformational build of a new Market Risk Platform by decommissioning six systems to create a design led future state.  

This is a 12 month Contract Position.

What role will you play?

You will be the Senior Business Analyst, collaborating with the project team to deliver business outcomes end to end from requirements through design, testing and implementation. The project roadmap is driven by an uplifted market risk framework and operating model which includes the implementation of related system, reporting functionality and monitoring.
It will be important for you to use your strong facilitation skills to lead workshops with business and technical stakeholders, as you will required to clearly articulate processes using process maps, and well-defined user stories in collaboration with our business, design and technical teams to define the new future state design.

What you offer

  • Proven track record as a Senior Business Analyst or Quantitative Analyst, working hands-on from initiation through to delivery, ideally within a financial risk domain such as Market Risk, Credit Risk, Trading or Finance.
  • Demonstrated experience collaborating with Business Subject Matter Experts facilitating activities such as understanding business processes, detailed calculations and workshopping desired future states, to elicit and document requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria
  • Comfortable working with experts to discuss and document complex quantitative Market Risk requirements including financial models, processes and reports.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with experience in establishing effective working relationships with key stakeholders and managing expectations.
  • Self-starter, able to drive the team to defined business outcomes.

About the Risk Management Group

In our Risk Management Group, you will be part of an independent, and centralised function, responsible for independent and objective review and challenge, oversight, monitoring and reporting in relation to Macquarie’s material risks. Our divisions include Compliance, Credit, Financial Crime Risk, Internal Audit, Market Risk, Operational Risk, Prudential Risk, and Risk Management Group Central.
