What role will you play?

Join our team as a Social Impact Investment Manager and help build on relationships and unlock value creation for our Social Impact Investment platform. You will aid the origination of prospective impact investment opportunities through business development and market research activities, in addition to conducting preliminary screening of potential investments including financial analysis, market and risk analysis, and development of a social impact thesis.

You will lead due diligence activities, including managing staff volunteers, preparing and presenting diligence materials, and revision and negotiation of transaction related documentation. You will review financial models to assist with the investment decision making process, portfolio management and reporting. The role will also see you collaborate with leading organisations in the impact investing and philanthropic fields in Australia, and globally.

What you offer

  • 8+ years’ relevant experience in investment, finance, or professional services, with proven quantitative and qualitative analytical skills and commercial acumen
  • Excellent communication skills for compelling presentations and clear analysis to various stakeholders
  • Proven ability to lead projects with multiple stakeholders and workstreams
  • Experience coaching and managing junior team members, with well-developed interpersonal skills for building strong relationships and effective teamwork
  • Demonstrable knowledge of accounting and financing concepts, financial statements, valuation approaches, capital structures and experience building financial models
  • Preferably a track record of personal engagement with social initiatives (eg. through volunteering), in Australia and/or globally.
