Join our Strategic Initiatives team within Macquarie’s Commodities and Global Markets Group. We specialise in managing the design, implementation and embeddedness of strategic business and operational improvements, as well as regulatory and remediation initiatives that support client’s and business objectives.

This is a 12 month contract.

What role will you play?

You will be part of a global team tasked with delivering a new program of work focused on enhancing risk management practices, including the design and implementation of risk management controls and assurance.

As a Business Analyst, you will work with business teams, operational risk managers, data analysts, and technologists to transform processes and systems to improve risk management. Your role will involve documenting business requirements, collaborating with stakeholders to design and implement solutions, and leveraging technology to automate and digitise processes. You will also contribute to project updates and reporting, working with a delivery team based in Sydney and London.

What you offer

  • 5+ years’ of experience as Business Analyst with a focus on operational risk management.
  • Experience with Human Resources Information Systems and people data would be advantageous but is not essential
  • Ability to interpret prudential standards and document assumptions.
  • Expertise in documenting detailed business requirements, including functional and non-functional specifications, and current and future state processes.
  • Proficiency with data analytics tools.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills and experience in coordinating delivery across stakeholders, including engaging, collaborating, and communicating with both business and technical peers across offices and time zones.
  • Strong sense of ownership to follow deliverables through to closure.
