Our Environmental Social and Governance Reporting team within the Financial Management, People and Engagement Group is dedicated to meeting Macquarie’s Environmental Social and Governance data, reporting, and analytical needs. Based within the EMEA Regional Finance team, we are responsible for uplifting Sustainability Reporting to meet the evolving commitments and obligations in Europe and globally. We are a future-focused team committed to driving change by being curious and bold, ensuring Macquarie's  Environmental Social and Governance practices are communicated effectively to our stakeholders.

What role will you play?

As an Environmental Social and Governance Reporting Specialist, you will contribute to the development of sustainability reporting policies and apply your subject matter knowledge in Environmental Social and Governance topics such as Greenhouse Gas accounting and decarbonisation. You will oversee  Environmental Social and Governance horizon scanning activities, provide advisory support across Macquarie for external sustainability reporting disclosures, and actively monitor sustainability disclosure standard setters. Your role will also involve maintaining detailed knowledge of evolving sustainability disclosure regulations across EMEA and participating in cross-functional and business working groups.

What you offer

  • Relevant experience in Environmental Social and Governance reporting, ideally across various sustainability reporting regimes
  • Experience working within financial services, or consulting/providing assurance to financial services clients, is an asset
  • Demonstrable stakeholder management, problem-solving, and analytical skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively as part of a regional and global team
  • Ability to plan and organise work to meet both short and medium-term goals and objectives
  • An accounting background is considered an asset, particularly the ability to apply technical knowledge of IFRS and/or US GAAP
