Our Digital and Data Business Operational Risk Management team works across all global regions to ensure Macquarie’s Operational Risk is appropriately addressed and managed within the Corporate Operations Group Digital and Data Divisions. We ensure it is in line with our Group framework and associated policies, whilst facilitating the continued improvement in operational risk awareness and culture within Digital and Data.

What role will you play?

Working closely with the global Digital and Data teams and the wider internal risk ecosystem, you will act as an advisor to the Digital and Data teams in effectively managing operational risk outcomes, improvements and efficiencies in line with Macquarie’s Operational Risk Management Frameworks and associated policies.

You will support the Data and Digital teams and the extended ecosystem of Records and Data Officers across Macquarie in uplifting risk culture, conducting monthly risk reporting, and facilitating regular risk and controls self-assessments. You will initiate and lead conversations with business leaders and risk management colleagues regarding anticipated and emerging issues in relation to design and embedment of Data Risk Frameworks for Macquarie Group.

What you offer

  • Experience in working within operational risk management and/or audit type environments
  • Experience working with a broad range of stakeholders across global regions and ability to effectively challenge the business
  • Practical understanding of the implementation of risk and control frameworks to manage non-financial risks in highly regulated contexts
  • Strong analytical and communication (verbal and written) skills
  • Ability to think laterally, problem solve and grasp abstract concepts and complex situations.
