Our Engineering Agility Team is transforming the trading landscape by digitising and modernising our Commodities and Global Markets trading system. What role will you play?

As a valued team member, you'll face interesting engineering challenges and use a wide array of cloud resources to design and support a robust and scalable distributed computing platform. You'll collaborate with best-of-breed open-source technology and the cloud infrastructure that supports it, ensuring the stability and scalability of key system components like the massive-distributed compute platform and web-based data science environment.

You will also be responsible for developing our infrastructure as code, utilising a mix of scripting and Java to automate and streamline our operations, contributing to a more efficient and reliable system as the number of users grows globally.

What you offer

  • Solid experience with Python or proficient in hands-on software development using an object-oriented programming language, with a preference for Java/Scala
  • Experience in cloud technologies, specifically on AWS ecosystem and Kubernetes, or alternatively similar experience on GCP or Azure
  • Effective interpersonal skills and the ability to interact with business users
  • Familiarity with Linux system administration, networking and tools such as git or Apache Airflow (scheduling platform), Dask (distributed computation library) or JupyterHub (web-based coding and analytics environment) will be an advantage.
