Our Banking and Financial Services (BFS) Data Governance team is focused on refining and delivering Macquarie’s data management frameworks and standards to meet our regulatory obligations and drive business value through fit-for-purpose data. We work collaboratively with business and technical stakeholders to implement governance and risk control frameworks.

What role will you play?

As a Data Governance Manager, you will oversee applying data governance and management capabilities within Banking and Financial Services (BFS) and supporting key programmes of work. You will develop and maintain strong partnerships with a broad set of stakeholders, monitor data risk practices, and ensure related activities meet required standards. Additionally, you will develop, implement, and monitor reporting mechanisms for data governance frameworks and provide advice on data governance to various stakeholders.

What you offer

  • 4+ years of experience in data risk, controls, or governance within an enterprise environment.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to critically evaluate data risk and controls.
  • Experience in supporting the uplift of governance and controls capability in an enterprise environment.
  • Strong understanding of data governance principles, practices, and tools
  • Exceptional communication skills with stakeholders at all levels
  • Agile mindset and ability to work in both structured and unstructured environments.
