Join our Risk Management Group as our lead compliance officer in Malaysia, where you will lead Country Compliance oversight for Macquarie Group’s business activities. As a member of the regional Compliance leadership team, you will manage regulatory engagement and compliance risks.

Reporting to the Head of Regulatory Risk Asia, you will work closely with Compliance officers across Asia, assisting with the delivery of the global and regional Compliance framework requirements, local regulator expectations and requirements including reporting, policies and procedures and compliance monitoring plans. You will be responsible for regulator engagement in Malaysia and the direct management of regulatory and compliance risks in-country. You will be part of a multi-jurisdictional team across a range of financial services, including corporate finance, securities and equity research.

  • Experience in leading regulatory compliance, non-financial risk management or audit in a financial services, legal or regulatory environment
  • In-depth knowledge of the Malaysian regulatory regime and solid understanding of the regulatory environment in Malaysia
  • Learning mindset, attention to detail, commitment to deadlines, adaptability, and ability to work independently under pressure
  • Experience dealing with regulators and understanding of compliance risk management frameworks
  • Management experience is an advantage as you will have one direct report as part of your team.
