Join Macquarie Commodities and Capital Markets team as a Record Keeping Lead. In this role, you ensure compliance with regulatory recordkeeping obligations and alignment to internal standards. Reporting to the Commodities and Capital Markets Group Records Officer, this role will be instrumental in implementing systems, processes, and controls to meet regulatory requirements while building a strategic framework to proactively evidence compliance.

What role will you play?

In this role, you will build out a strategic framework to proactively evidence regulatory compliance in recordkeeping, collaborate with compliance, technology, and business stakeholders across a global organization to deliver results and identify opportunities for innovation and continuous improvement in recordkeeping processes, aligning with the Commodities and Capital Markets data strategy. You will also develop business-specific frameworks/memorandums to articulate requirements where necessary and contribute to internal and external audits, ensuring timely and accurate responses. This role offers excellent growth potential, including the opportunity to expand responsibilities into broader information management functions as the function matures.

What you offer

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., finance, law, business, data management)
  • 5+ years of experience in an investment banking or similar role
  • Experience in compliance functions, particularly related to CFTC, SEC, or MiFID II regulatory regimes
  • Background in data governance, operational risk management (Line 1 risk), operational enhancement, or information management and strong initiative with the ability to operate independently and drive results
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
