Join a team of experienced risk professionals and partner with our Equities business to drive a strong risk culture. Reporting into our Asia Regional Lead, you will work in the first line of defence team to ensure Operational Risk is managed effectively in line with our Risk Management Frameworks and associated policies.

This is a 6-month fixed-term contract role.

What role will you play?

You will be responsible for assisting with the interpretation and implementation of the Operational Risk Management Framework across Asia, including application of good risk practice to further strengthen risk culture as well as day-to-day management of operational risk issues and incidents. Working closely with various front office teams, you will drive operational risk awareness across the business, identifying subsequent improvements where required. You will apply a risk lens to new business initiatives and operationalise compliance within frameworks and regulation as well as assist with the delivery of training, reviews and regular interactions with key stakeholders.

What you offer

• 5+ years’ experience in internal audit, controls based external audit, operational risk or similar assurance roles in the financial services sector, in-house or working with clients in a professional services environment
• Existing exposure to a trading environment with knowledge of Global Markets, preferably in Equities
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the capacity to initiate and lead conversations with business leaders and risk management colleagues regarding issues and assurance findings
• Commercially minded, problem-solving lateral thinker with the ability to grasp abstract concepts and complex situations
• Comfortable working within a dynamic, fast paced and enterprise agile environment.
