The Corporate Strategy and Solutions team partners with Macquarie businesses and support areas to pursue commercial opportunities, navigate complex business challenges, and drive impactful change. The team delivers high-profile and complex initiatives that positively influence the organisation’s success. Recent projects have included pre-trade analytics strategy development, client targeting for trading desks, business growth strategy formulation, carve-outs, and regulatory change program coordination.

While Macquarie offers hybrid working for many of our roles, this role does require 3 days a week in our advertised location.

What role will you play?

You will play a critical role in shaping strategic decisions, facilitating business growth, and supporting transformation projects. Collaborating with business leaders across Macquarie, you will shape and deliver initiatives in areas such as strategy, corporate development, business and client development, operating model design and operational improvement. You will act as a trusted advisor to senior leaders, providing insights and recommendations that drive decision-making and enhance business performance. Additionally, you will foster a collaborative and inclusive environment within the team, ensuring all viewpoints are valued and heard.

What you offer

  • Proven ability to apply a structured approach to complex and ambiguous challenges, delivering innovative and practical solutions
  • At least 3 years of experience in strategy consulting or a related field, with a strong and broad consulting toolkit.
  • Demonstrated experience across multiple industries or engagements, with a focus on delivering business growth and operational improvements
  • Expertise in developing and nurturing relationships with stakeholders at all levels, including senior executives.
  • Ability to adapt communication style to suit diverse audiences and effectively convey complex ideas
  • Skilled in managing multiple priorities and delivering high-quality outcomes within tight timelines
  • Interest in financial services, with experience in M&A, digital transformation, climate-related initiatives, and/or regulatory change programs preferred but not required
  • Collaborative mindset with a strong focus on teamwork and inclusivity, along with adaptability and resilience in dynamic, fast-paced environments
