Be part of a dynamic team at Macquarie Capital, working in a fast-paced environment to ensure operational risk is effectively identified and managed across diverse business lines, including Corporate Advisory, Principal Investments, and Equities.
You will join the Business Operational Risk Management team within Macquarie Capital and contribute to the wider Non-Financial Risk Function, which plays a critical role in identifying, assessing, and managing operational risk to support business success. 

This is an 18-month Maximum Term Contract opportunity.

What role will you play?

As a Senior Manager in the Business Operational Risk team, you will play a key role in ensuring operational risk is managed in alignment with our Operational Risk Management Framework. You will lead Risk and Control Self-Assessments (RCSA), provide operational risk advice, and collaborate with senior Macquarie Capital stakeholders to develop practical solutions for managing non-financial risks.
Acting as a key liaison with the Risk Management Group, along with other key support functions, you will ensure compliance with policy and framework requirements. Additionally, you will investigate operational risk incidents and issues, supporting the development of effective actions and remediation plans. Your work will directly strengthen our first line of defence and contribute to critical business initiatives.

What you offer

  • 8+ years of experience in operational risk management or internal control roles, such as internal or external audit within the financial services industry
  • Strong ability to balance commercial outcomes within a risk framework, coupled with a continuous improvement mindset
  • Proven capability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a variety of stakeholders
  • Experience in leading Risk and Control Self-Assessments (RCSA) and performing control assurance activities
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to advise senior stakeholders and liaise with key support functions on policy and framework requirements
