What role will you play?

You will provide tax technical advice on new and complex transactions across the varied businesses across Macquarie Group including trading of Commodities, Fixed Income and Equities, Asset Management and Capital Investments while also ensuring appropriate processes and controls are in place to ensure Macquarie’s tax obligations are met. Your role will also involve liaising with external tax advisors, auditors, and government authorities on tax related issues and audits.   

What you offer

  • 6+ years of tax advisory and reporting experience gained in either a chartered accounting, law or consulting firm or tax division of a large corporate
  • Ability to develop and maintain strong internal client relationships with business executives and external relationships with advisors, coupled with strong communication and influencing skills
  • Able to balance multiple assignments and successfully manage work plans in an autonomous environment
  • Actively take responsibility and ownership for issues impacting own tasks, including understanding end-to-end processes to deliver a comprehensive solution
  • Forward thinking individual with experience in uplifting the delivery of quality data and use of tax technology and tools that can enhance processes within the tax function
  • A team player who is aware of the scope of the role, undertaking the tax risk management role whilst partnering with business to apply a commercial lens.
