What role will you play?

You will be involved in end-to-end ownership of event projects to ensure alignment with business objectives and successful delivery, including venue sourcing, proposal development and pitching, contract negotiation, pre-event planning, budget management, risk assessment creation and oversight, mobile app development, onsite execution, and post-event analysis and reporting. In addition to managing individual projects, you will also collaborate on large-scale initiatives executed in partnership with cross-functional teams and stakeholders across our global network.

What you offer

• Minimum 15 years of experience in event marketing with a minimum of 8 years within the finance sector
• Proven expertise in end-to-end event strategy, planning and execution across Asia, with a deep understanding of regional market dynamics, particularly in India
• Extensive experience delivering high-impact events across all 13 Asian markets in which Macquarie operates as well as our different business groups with a demonstrated ability to tailor content and format to regional and cultural nuances, ensuring audience relevance and engagement
• Over 8 years of advanced experience leveraging Cvent for registration management, data reporting, and enhancing attendee journeys with a strong command of the platform to drive operational efficiency and insightful analytics
• Proficient in executing seamless digital events using platforms such as Socialive, Attendee Hub, Zoom Webinar and Touchcast with experience in curating interactive experiences that maintain participant engagement and satisfaction
• Proven experience of Salesforce-Cvent integration to automate workflows, manage attendees and create dashboard reports
• Advanced project management skills demonstrated by a history of leading cross-functional teams to deliver successful roadshows and campaigns across the region
• Well-established global industry connections, offering access to preferred venues and suppliers, and the ability to negotiate significant cost savings without compromising on quality
• Trusted partner to senior leadership with direct experience supporting the Asia CEO and executive committee and adapt at aligning event strategy with business objectives and managing complex stakeholder expectations
• In-depth knowledge of the Australian investment banking landscape, enabling the development of highly targeted and effective event strategies
• Proficient in managing complex budgets across multiple currencies and event scales, with a consistent record of delivering financial reporting accuracy and cost efficiencies
• Skilled in identifying and mitigating risk, with hands-on experience working alongside compliance and risk teams to ensure all events adhere to governance and best practice standards.
