The Distribution Governance team works collaboratively across Personal Banking to ensure the risks associated with distribution of financial services products are understood and comprehensively managed.

What role will you play?

You will work closely with the Personal Banking sales team to manage risks associated with distributing home lending products through the Direct channel. In this role, you will lead a team to conduct regular application reviews and oversee initiatives that improve compliance oversight and operational efficiency within the channel. You will keep up to date with relevant regulations, play a central role in representing the direct sales and variation team in the Banking and Financial Services ecosystem and manage the team’s priorities and strategic focus.

By advocating and enforcing a risk mindset across the Personal Banking ecosystem, you will contribute to the overall integrity and robustness of the distribution process. Additionally, you will serve as a senior leader of the Distribution Governance team, responsible for supporting the overall management, culture and direction of the team. 

What you offer

  • Previous experience in a people leadership role and 3+ years of experience in a Risk or Compliance role, ideally within home lending
  • Knowledge of internal and external regulations relevant to home lending
  • Strong experience in managing programs of work and a high level of organisation and attention to detail
  • Ability to apply critical thinking to solve complex problems
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
