The Balance Sheet Statistical Reporting (BSSR) team is responsible for the preparation of periodic balance sheet and statistical regulatory reports submitted to APRA, RBA, and ABS, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

What role will you play?

You will manage and review balance sheet and statistical reports for external regulators (APRA, RBA, ABS), including overseeing change management for new regulatory returns. You will ensure financial reporting processes meet control standards and compliance requirements and maintain robust documentation to support annual regulatory audits. You will also be involved in identifying and implementing opportunities for automation and process improvement, collaborate with internal stakeholders, and mentor junior staff within the team.

What you offer

  • 10+ years post-qualification experience in Financial services or investment banking industry
  • CA or CPA Qualification with a Tertiary degree in Business/Commerce
  • Previous experience and knowledge of regulatory reporting, data, accounting and regulatory reporting systems and processes
  • Technical accounting and regulatory knowledge, including AASs and APRA reporting standards (ARS’s, RPGs, APS’s)
  • Systems knowledge for ERPs and Axiom
  • Excellent Microsoft systems knowledge – Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills with high attention to detail
  • Strong relationship building, people management and communication skills.
